Introduction to MRECOVER XL and its features

The MRECOVER for large hard drives

I'm putting up this progam in a hurry so, I won't be able to put much information right now. The most important thing is that this version has all the features of MRECOVER 1.85, and supports hard disks larger than 8GB. What I want to point out is that MRECOVER XL 1.0 uses a compeletely different set of low level routines to access the hard disk so I'm pretty much concerned about the compatibility. I've tested the program thoroughly about safety (that means it doesn't write in the locations were it shouldn't).

Inorder to know the detailed features see the MRECOVER 1.85 page. Please not the following.

MRECOVER XL 1.1 has some bugs fixed that caused the previous version to incorrectly assume the cluster size in some cases.
MRECOVER XL might not get the correct parameters of your hard drive if you are not using LBA. If it doesn't work properly please see the hard disk parameters (cylinders, heads and sectors) in your BIOS and check if it matches with what MRECOVER XL says.
If in some cases you see that the program hangs, reboot and try again. This might happen as I'm not much happy with my low level routines used in MRECOVER XL.

I have heard reports that MRECOVER XL hangs when detecting some drives. I'm trying to fix it. Can you guys write to me about it?

Important: MRECOVER XL 1.1 is not a complete replacement of MRECOVER 1.85. I've made this large hard drive version as a new series for now as I think the people with large hard drives should use this version only. This is because MRECOVER 1.85 has been around for a long time and it has gone through many revisions and bug fixes. I'll combine these two later on, when I see that MRECOVER XL has worked out fine.
